My 5 Favorite Fridge Finds

My 5 Favorite Fridge Finds

I love to be organized and I love to have a beautiful fridge that shows off the healthy food options inside.  I wanted to find a few solutions to not only help with this organizations, but that are practical to use.  Take a look at the 5 Amazon fridge finds I found that help.

I. Egg Holder

I was looking for an egg holder that not only used up space but that you could easily reach in and grab some without having to unstack or remove a lid.  This one wit the bill!  I also like that you can choose the size that fits your family needs.  I often get more eggs before we run out or get a big flat from Costco so it was important for me to have more space but also the 3 tier option was too tall for the area I wanted to use it in.  So I settled for the 2 layer option which holds 36 eggs.  The 1 layer option holds 18 and the 3 tier option holds 55.  It is super easy to pull out and load up or load while in the fridger.  The gentle slope to the layers moves the eggs down as you grab them out keeping it easy access and it is super easy to clean.

2. A Butter Tray

Now I must admit I have several things I was looking for in finding the right solution and this is THE ONE!  First thing is that even though I prefer glass, I have had more than one incident of my little knocking it over as we cook together so glass option was out. The second feature I was looking for was a tray that had a good air seal as I like to keep my butter in the fridge…for some reason soft counter butter freaks me out…anyone else feel this way?  The last feature I was looking for was a tray that was wide enough to fit my grass fed Kerrygold butter pats.  They are wider than the normal sticks.  The 2 bonus features this tray has that I have found super helpful are the butter knife that fits inside and the measure marks on the tray.  I liked this butter tray so much I bought a second one for our cream cheese pats.

3. Organization Bins

This has been all the rage lately and I see some fridges that have the whole thing filled with bins including the drawers but to be honest while it looks pretty, it is not practical.  I find 2-3 bins is a great size for us depending on what groceries I get.  I use one for kid snacks that my daughter can grab her favorites out of.  This usually includes juice boxes, mini humus cups, probiotic yogurts or pouches.  The second bin I use for loose fruits and ripe avocados.  Another bin she knows she can grab a cold tangerine or apple from. There are many bins on the market so make sure you measure your fridge depth and space to get the right ones.  From my standard fridge I got the simple modern xxx” ones.

4. Bottle Rack

Yes, these were probably intended for only wine, which is what I use them for, but they also work with other tall items like my cold brew coffee, creamer or sparkling water bottles. My sister actually uses them in her cabinet for her kids water bottles.

5. Glass storage containers

If you have kids or toddlers, then you know you can go throught the fruit and berries quick.  The first thing I do when I get my groceries for the week is prep all that to last and for easy grab and go.  I wanted something more than just your standard tupperware for this.  I wanted clear glass containers that the lids wouldn’t pop off of.  These pyrex snapware glass storage containers worked perfect for me.
