Finally finished the final touches of my spring project! 🌸🌼

Every spring I like to add an element to our yard or house. This year I wanted to create a multi-functional play area for Emma. I had a very specific area of the yard to fill, so I knew it would be a challenge finding a play-set that fit exactly the way I wanted. So, I found a second hand set someone never built and pieced it together in the way I wanted. I knew I wanted a climb wall, a slide, and a hanging section. This one had all those pieces and more. After I had the structure complete I wanted to dress it up with activities. I added swinging lounge chairs with pillows to the hang section. The fort area needed curtains, twinkle lights, toy baskets and a magnetic chalk board with alphabet magnets. The underneath section I opted for a mud and sand area, so I built a mud table from scrap wood and added sand, a water tank, a motorized water sink and a bunch of mud kitchen toys.

Emma and her friends absolutely love this play area and it’s amazing to see it spark so much imagination! 💖

Oh how life looks so different now than what I originally planned. Letting go of what I thought life should be, is one of the biggest lessons I had to learn having Emma as a single mom by choice. I never thought this is what my family would look like in my young adult years, but I am so thankful I let go of that old plan and opened myself up for this amazing life. I feel truly blessed with how things turned out and I didn’t need a Prince Charming to get here. I just had to get out of my own way.
