Easy Homemade Baby Pouches

Baby Pouches are so easy to make! I mostly wanted to start making my own pouches because I was already pureeing some stuff along with my baby led weening and I love the idea of giving my baby a very clean healthy whole diet without the preservatives and sugars found in so many baby items out there. I was already steaming vegetables and cooking for us every night I thought why not blend some pouches with the left overs and freeze them for late. So, I did that. It was fun mixing and matching foods to see what she preferred and the little gadget I found to help make the food was simple.

First thing is to steam your vegetables and cook your meat. Steaming helps the vegetables retain a lot of their nutrients, so I just used a simple tool like xxx in a pot with a little water. It’s actually surprising how good and sweet vegetables taste just on their own and I relearned to appreciate that when I was making these for her. The reason I say on its own is because babies and toddlers don’t need a lot of salt so you leave it plain!

After you cook your veggies and meats you can blend them up together until it tastes appealing. I used a nutrabullet.

Then I used the infantino squeeze station to fill the pouches. YOu can find the infantino squeeze station here. The infantino comes with a funnel, a stand that connects the pouch to a big syringe bottom and a syringe top. Once the food is in the syringe bottom, you just push the syringe top down until it all squeezes into the pouch. There are many brands of pouches out that that work with this and are relatively inexpensive to get a pack of pouches and caps. I used the sprout pouches you can find here. Next you label them and freeze them. My daughter and niece loved these as easy on the go snacks.

I got a dollar store bin that fit in my freezer nicely to hold these for easy grab and go!
